PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel advantageous for exactly positioning a lens even when a D cut lens or double D cut lens is used, and an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: One first side face section 2222 of two side face sections 2222 of a first stationary lens 2202 is inserted into a hole section 68 from one wall surface 6602 while the side face section is abutted against a first hole surface 6806 adapted as a positioning surface, As the first stationary lens 2202 is inserted while the first side face section 2222 is abutted against the first hole surface 6806 adapted as the positioning surface, the one surface of the first stationary lens 2202 is abutted against an abutting section 72. Since recessed parts 70 are disposed at both ends of the first hole surface 6806 adapted as the positioning surfaces, the fault such as chipping of the wall surface by contact of a corner 2226 of the first stationary lens 2202 with the wall surface constituting the hole section 68 is prevented.
