PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing method with which the blade pattern or the like of a sword body can be sharply photographed and continuous photographing is facilitated. SOLUTION: Lights 4 illuminating the sword body 1 and a camera 5 are disposed at an angle of 30 to 120°. The two parallel rows of three to ten lights are disposed perpendicular to the length of the sword body. The two rows of lights are set such that an interval between the light source reflection parts of the sword is kept about 7 to 30 cm.
