PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive support body for an electrophotographic photoreceptor with which the occurrence of a dot defect can be suppressed by a simple and inexpensive method and its manufacturing method, an electrophotographic photoreceptor which prevents the occurrence of the dot defect of the white background portion of an image when used for electrophotography of a reversal development system, and to provide an electrophotograph forming method in which the occurrence of an abnormal image is prevented in case of repetitive use, and also to provide a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus. SOLUTION: An oxide film forming apparatus which includes an immersion vessel on a cathode side and immersion vessel on an anode side, wherein electrodes are disposed in the respective vessels via a diaphragm permitting ion to transfer, and the electrolysis solution in which electrolyte is dissolved is filled in the respective immersion vessels, is used. The conductive support body is sequentially immersed in the immersion vessel on the cathode side and is subjected to a cleaning treatment and is then immersed into the immersion vessel on the anode side and is subjected to an oxidation treatment while a voltage is applied to the electrodes, thereby forming an oxide film layer. The electrophotographic photoreceptor is constituted so that a recording layer is formed on the obtained conductive support body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
