PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce a measuring error of a parameter indicating a spectral polarization condition generated by fluctuation caused by a temperature change and other factor in retardation of a phaser, while succeeding various features provided in a channeled spectral polarization measuring method. SOLUTION: A reference phase functionψ<SB>1</SB>(σ),ψ<SB>2</SB>(σ) are corrected simultaneously with measurement of spectral Stokes parameters S<SB>0</SB>(σ), S<SB>1</SB>(σ), S<SB>2</SB>(σ), S<SB>3</SB>(σ), perceiving that the reference phase functionψ<SB>1</SB>(σ),ψ<SB>2</SB>(σ) are found by solving an equation from respective vibration components included in a channeled spectrum P(σ).
