PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alternating-current impedance measuring device and a method capable of measuring accurately the alternating-current impedance of either or both of a power generator and a load connected in series with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: Each voltage applied to the power generator 1 and the load 2 is detected by voltage detection means 3, 4, and an alternating-current signal corresponding to an alternating-current signal is transmitted to a series circuit between the power generator 1 and the load 2 by a transformer 5 wherein the alternating-current signal is transmitted to the primary side and the secondary side is inserted in series into the series circuit between the power generator 1 and the load 2. A current flowing in the primary side of the transformer 5 is detected by a current detection means 8, and a current flowing in the series circuit between the power generator 1 and the load 2 is determined corresponding thereto. An operation means 10 determines the alternating-current impedance of the load 2 or the power generator 1 based on the voltages acquired by the voltage detection means 3, 4 and an output from the current detection means 8.
