PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensing device that uses a new sensor and that has a simple structure and superior detection sensitivity. SOLUTION: The sensor 10 is successively equipped with a first reflector 11, having semi-transparency and semi-reflectivity, a translucent body 12, and the second reflector 13 having perfect reflectivity or semi-transparency and semi-reflectivity. A measuring light L1 is made to enter the sensor 10 from the first reflector 11 side of the sensor 10 by a measuring light irradiation means 20, equipped with an oscillation wavelength stabilization means into which a wavelength selection means is integrated. The physical characteristics of the outgoing light L2 that changes, corresponding to the absorption characteristics of the sensor 10 determined by a sensor 10 constitution and a sample 17 in contact with the sensor 10, are detected by an outgoing light detection means 30.
