PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image processing apparatus which displays image data while recording the image data into an image memory. SOLUTION: An imaging means 2 outputs image data. A selector 7 performs selection to output the image data outputted from the imaging means 2 to an SDRAM 22. A selector 8 selects image data outputted from the SDRAM 22 and reduces the image data in a reduction processing circuit 9. Post-processing is performed on the image data reduced by the reduction processing circuit 9 from an automatic white balance circuit 13 to a filter processing section 17, thereby generating image data for display.
