PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new tellurone and to provide a method for preparing the same. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the tellurone represented by general formula (1). In the formula (1) a plurality of R<SP>1</SP>are each independently a 1-6C alkyl group or a phenyl group wherein the hydrogen atoms on the second, fourth and sixth position may be each independently substituted with a 1-6C alkyl group independently, a plurality of R<SP>2</SP>are each independently H, a 1-6C alkyl group or phenyl group, and the hydrogen atoms on the second, fourth and sixth position of the phenyl group may be each independently substituted with a 1-6C alkyl group optionally.
