PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a diamond having a nanoplate structure, particularly for forming the diamond having a hexagonal nanoplate structure using an electrochemical process. SOLUTION: The method for forming the diamond having a nanoplate structure includes the steps of providing a nanotemplate having multiple pores, of forming the diamond having the nanoplate structure in the pores of the nanotemplate by using an electrochemical method, and of separating the objective diamond by removing the nanotemplate. It is possible to synthesize the nanoplate structural diamond having more uniform and size than those of diamond produced by a conventional forming method. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
