PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-grade ink jet recorder having no discharge failure by establishing a method which can remove bubbles entering individual liquid chambers at a low cost. SOLUTION: A liquid droplet discharge head has a plurality of liquid passages 7 branched from common liquid chambers 8, 9, nozzles 4 individually communicating with the liquid passages 7, and an actuator substrate 5 having heaters 2 arranged at positions opposed to the nozzles 4 of the liquid passages 7. The actuator substrate 5 has a recess 10 at the part of the surface opposed to the nozzles 4 in the liquid passages 7, and this recess 10 has a second passage 11 communicating with the common liquid chambers 8, 9 separately from the liquid passages 7.
