PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member connection device and a method thereof, which uniformly and closely attaches the respective end surfaces of the members. SOLUTION: In the member connection device 1, a fitting shaft part 12 of a first member 10 and a fitting hole part 22 of a second member 20 are fitted in each other, a male screw part 32 of a clamp member 30 having the male screw part 32 formed on a base end side and a tapered part 34 formed on the tip end side is screwed into a screw hole 25 provided on the second member 20. The first member 10 is pulled into the second member 20 side in the axis center direction X2to fix by forcibly putting the tapered part 34 into a recessed part 14 provided on the fitting shaft part 12 and abutting to a tapered surface 15 provided on an inner side wall of the recessed part 14. The first member 10 and the second member 20 are provided with a plurality of recessed parts 14 and the screw holes 25 respectively, and at least one recessed part 14a of the plurality of recessed parts 14 is characterized in that the tapered surface 15 of the second member 20 side in the axis center direction X2is formed in a tapered surface groove 15a having a larger curvature than the tapered part 34.
