A pneumatic brake line coupling 'glad hand' 10 for connecting a tractor unit to a trailer unit has a grip member 34 designed to be gripped by an operator to make the coupling 10 easier to manipulate. The grip member 34 covers at least part of the coupling member 18 and a part of the hose 12. The terminal member 16 is attached directly to the hose 12 with no separable adapter member between the hose 12 and the terminal member 16 or between the terminal member 16 and to the coupling 18. The grip member 34 also includes a sleeve portion 32 for supporting the hose 12, the sleeve portion 32 being stiffer to axial bending than the hose 12. |
