This curtain-type airbag apparatus (20) is provided with: an airbag (16) which is arranged along a top edge of a vehicle body (11) and develops in a curtain-shape manner along an inside of a window (14); and an inner cover (21) which covers a vehicle interior side of the airbag (16). The inner cover (21) is supported by the vehicle body (11) via a hinge member (24) having a reversed U-shape.
