The method involves generating an audio and video data stream (V) by a central controller (1) using a rendering unit (12). The audio and video data stream is generated by cooperating the rendering unit with a database system (2), while the rendering unit associates predefined audio and video data elements (D) to the audio and video data stream, where the predefined audio and video data elements are stored in the database system. An interaction message is provided by the rendering unit during the generation of the audio and video data stream. An independent claim is also included for a system for providing an interactive radio program.
