A washing machine is provided to protect a user from the electric shock by blocking power source when short-circuit of temperature measuring device. A washing machine comprises a temperature measuring device, controller, and relay. The temperature measuring device is placed in a tub and measures the temperature of washing water in the tub. The controller blocks the power source of the temperature measuring device by control signal when short-circuit of the temperature measuring device. The controller operates the relay when the passive signal is inputted by a user. |
