PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform mechanical security by supporting a security terminal when communication due to a communication line, to which the security terminal is connected, is disabled. SOLUTION: In the mechanical security system in which the facility of a security object is provided with an abnormality detecting means for detecting abnormality and the abnormality detected by a security terminal 1 is reported through a communication line 3 to a monitor center 2, a supporting device 5 is provided for supporting communication between the security terminal 1 and the monitor center 2 with a communication means 7 composed of a communication medium different from the communication line 3 to which the security terminal 1 is connected. Besides, the supporting device 5 is provided with an abnormality detecting means 6 for detecting line abnormality or the like on the communication line 3. When the communication line 3 is busy and can not be used or it is detected communication is disabled by the occurrence of abnormality on the communication line 3, the supporting device 5 performs communication with the monitor center 2 in place of the security terminal 1. |
