PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust bearing capable of reducing rotational torque in light load, increasing allowable load capacity in heavy load, and thereby prolonging a bearing life.SOLUTION: A thrust bearing 10 includes a circular ring-shaped slide member 40 disposed on the outer diameter side and inner diameter side of a plurality of rollers 30, between a pair of raceway surfaces 51, 61. When a thrust load (light load) is a predetermined value or less, an axial width W of the slide member 40 is made smaller than a gap S between the pair of raceway surfaces 51, 61.
