PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding seal material capable of realizing a higher bearing and a tensile strength.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a holding seal material made by mat composed of inorganic fibers got through a paper making method. A test piece in which the holding seal material is cut into a size of 50×50 mm is burned at 600°C for one hour, thereafter a filtering test is carried out in which the burnt test piece is placed on a metallic filter with an aperture of 2.36 mm and a wire diameter of 1 mm, vibrated with a frequency of 60 Hz, amplitude of 0.3 mm for 10 minutes, and a weight reduction rate of the test piece before and after the filtering test is less than 70%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
