The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for managing a sports event. The method for managing a sports event comprises the steps of: determining, by an apparatus for managing a sports event, a traffic line of referees or players from a locker room to a sports field in a place in which a sports event is held; determining, by the apparatus for managing a sports event, locations of cameras along the traffic line so that the cameras can photograph the locker room, the sports field, and a path connecting the locker room and the sports field without a blind area; and displaying, by the apparatus for managing a sports event, a structure diagram of the place and images photographed by the cameras on a screen in a state in which the images overlap the structure diagram at locations corresponding to installation locations of the cameras. Accordingly, images at any locations at which a player can be present can be acquired and checked, and locations at images have been photographed can be intuitively recognized. |
