A storage tank installation structure according to an embodiment of the present invention can include: a combination target wherein an insulation material is constructed on the inner surface thereof; and a storage tank which is placed in the combination target, and is provided to face the insulation material. Moreover, a storage tank construction method according to another embodiment of the present invention can include: a tank manufacturing step of manufacturing a storage tank to form a hollow inside; an insulation construction step of constructing an insulation material on the inner surface of the combination target which the storage tank is to be combined with; and a tank combining step of inserting the storage tank into the combination target so that the insulation material can be located between the inner surface of the combination target and the storage tank. According to the present invention, it is easy to combine the storage tank with the combination target easily.
