PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject preparation intended to cause/keep anesthesia, which can be administrated in small doses, and whose effect can be more quickly initiated/restored, by including a lipophilic inert gas. SOLUTION: This preparation is liquid prepared by including a lipophilic inert gas (e.g. xenon) in the form of perfluorocarbon emulsion or fat emulsion such as oil-in-water emulsion or liposome emulsion. To this liquid preparation, (A) anesthetic agent(s) such as 2,6-diisopropylphenol or etomidate and/or (B) other pharmacologically active substance(s) such as morphine derivative(s) (e.g. fentanyl or alfentanil) can also be included. The above liquid preparation can also be used as a sedative drug, an analgetics, a muscle relaxant, or an anti- inflammatory agent. |
