PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sock capable of being thickly knitted, and allowing easily bending and stretching the ankle.SOLUTION: A sock has a rib top part which is continuously formed above a body from a toe to an ankle, and is knitted with a single cylinder-type sock knitting machine whose cylinder diameter is 3.5 inches or more. The rib top part 10 has a length of 14 cm or more and is formed in a double structure, and a knitting yarn and a rubber yarn are knitted by sinker-overknitting of 2-4 stitches in every pile stitch, and on the other hand, at least a part near the ankle of an instep part 12 of a body 20 is knitted by flat knitting of 2 stitches in every 4-6 stitches of pile stitch of back pile.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
