PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper-molybdenum composite material that has stably low thermal expansibility even though blending molybdenum in a small amount and has high hardness and excellent mechanical characteristics as compared with the conventional copper-molybdenum composite material and to provide a method for producing the copper-molybdenum composite material.SOLUTION: A molybdenum powder composed of fine particles and a copper powder composed of coarse particles are subjected to mechanical milling to form a molybdenum/copper composite powder composed of molybdenum/copper composite particles in which the fine particles of molybdenum adhere to the coarse particles of copper so as to surround the periphery of the coarse particles of copper; and the molybdenum/copper composite powder is press-formed and sintered to produce a copper-molybdenum composite material composed of a fine particle region of molybdenum which is formed in a three-dimensional network form and a coarse particle region of copper which is dispersedly arranged in a state of being included into a network of the fine particle region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
