PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, in a high-speed transportable sheet material transport device, since a long-length sheet material is discharged at a high speed, the collection work of a device operator becomes difficult, and when decelerating a transport speed of the device operator in order to facilitate the collection work of the long-length sheet material, the processing efficiency of a non-long length sized sheet material becomes worse.SOLUTION: A sheet material transport device comprises length detection means for detecting a length of a sheet material, and transport speed control means for controlling a transport speed of the sheet material in a sheet material transport device up to discharge by a discharge part. When it is determined that a length of the sheet material is longer than a prescribed length on the basis of a detection result of the length detection means, the transport speed control means decelerates the transport speed of the sheet material to a second speed which is preset as a speed for transporting the long-length sheet material from a first speed being a reference speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
