A fluid flow control valve for refuelling a pyrophoric liquefied gas lighter comprises a tubular body 1 which is detachably assembled in a wall of the fuel reservoir and which has an exhaust port 5 therein for residual gas and/or air in the reservoir, a tubular guide post 3 having a fuel passage 2 therein, and a sealing ring 4 frictionally slidable along the post 3, and urged by a spring 6 against an internal shoulder on the body to close both the fuel passage 2 and the exhaust port 5. The sealing ring 4 is pressed down by the nozzle A of a fuel supply cartridge (not shown) to admit liquefied fuel through the passage 2 into the reservoir, and at the same time to allow the escape of residual gas and/or air from the reservoir through the exhaust port 5.</p> |
