In apparatus dispensing the lowermost container of a stack after the remainder of the stack is lifted, a motor 25, Fig. 1 controlled by a limit switch rotates cranks 28 to lift, via rods 29, bars 20 sliding in flanged members 22, the bars carrying dogs 32 pivoted at 34 and with pegs 35 which extend into cam slots 28 in the flanged members 22. As bars 20 rise, pegs 35 moving in slots 38 swing dogs 32 between flanges 12 of the lowest two containers. The stack is carried by the flanges 15 of the lowest container resting on supports 50, 51. The dogs engage the flanges of the second container from the bottom and lift the remainder of the stock upwards, the lowermost container being prevented from following by pendulous stops 42, 40 pivoted on the housing frame at 41. Eventually cross-bars 24 on bars 20 engage a head 67 on rod 62 to raise the rod. The lower end of rod 62 is pivoted to links 58, 59, Fig. 6 which straighten and shift support 51 to the left to release the lowermost container for dispensing. One or both supports may be moved. As the crank 28 returns to its initial position, bars 20 and dogs 32 lower the stack back on to the repositioned supports, the lowermost container displacing the pendulous stops 42. |
