In a motor vehicle window in which the glass 7 is bonded to a flange 2 of the window frame, the glass is located in its own plane during setting of the polysulphide rubber adhesive 8 by spaced resilient clips each having a U-shaped portion 15 which clips over the flange 2 and the outer arm of which has an extension forming a platform 25 to engage the edge of the glass 7, a projection 27 to engage a shoulder 3 of the frame and a retainer prong 29 which, with the platform 25 retains therebetween a flange portion of a decorative moulding 11. The gap between this latter and the glass may be filled and the moulding may be bonded to the glass by adhesive 33 to prevent water &c. leaking into the moulding. The other arm of the U-part of the clip may be formed with a platform 35 and prong 37 to clamp therebetween a flange of moulding 13 on the inner side of the window. |
