Reactive anthraquinone dyes are prepared by condensing a compound of Formula II with a compound X-Y in which R 1 is hydrogen or a C 1-6 alkyl group, X is a heterocyclic or aliphatic radical having linked thereto at least one reactive group and Y is a group which can be split off as an anion, or by reacting a hydroaromatic amine of Formula III with 1-amino-4-bromo-anthraquinone 2,5- or 2,6- or 2,7- or 2,8-disulphonic acid, R 1 and X being as above. The dyes are of Formula I and are blue in colour. |
