The invention concerns a process and a device for protecting a turbomachine (1) from damage when bearing oscillations occur in a rotor bearing (3) which exceed a pre-set limit. If this limit is exceeded, a signal is triggered which causes the pressure of a medium (7, 12) to build up on a device (4), preferably in an emergency bearing of the rotor (2), thus damping the bearing oscillations. |
