PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface finished member with excellent performance by establishing a surface finishing means with easy maintenance capable of finishing the surface of a metallic member smooth at high treatment efficiency. SOLUTION: A part to be worked of a metallic member is melted by radiating the energy beam of high density, and then, the melted part is re-solidified. It is preferable to take measures, in which the melted part of the surface layer comprises a fully melted layer and an adjacent imperfectly melted layer, or a plurality of parts of the surface layer to be treated are simultaneously melted by distributing the energy beam to be radiated to a plurality of parts, or re- solidification of the melted part is naturally cooled. The surface roughness is excellently improved to be smoothed, and for example, a member to demonstrate excellent performance as the wear resistant surface can be obtained. |
