PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methanol decomposing catalyst having low temp. activity and selectivity for a synthetic gas (hydrogen and carbon monoxide). SOLUTION: The methanol decomposing catalyst uses one of one or more kinds of metal oxides A selected from TiO2 , CeO2 , ZrO2 and Fe2 O3 , a compound oxide B of one or two kinds of metals selected from Ti, Ce, Zr and Fe and a mixture C of the metal oxide A with the metal compound oxide B as a carrier and paladium as a catalystic metal, and the co-precipitating method or the deposition precipitating method is applied as a carrying method. |
