PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make musical expression in dual mode rich by changing respect characteristics of plural timbres according to the set sound volume balance. SOLUTION: A timbre specifying operation element 11 once receiving operation sends a specified timbre to a timbre data supply part 12. When one timbre is specified with the timbre specifying operation element 11, the timbre data supply part 12 reads timbre data for a single timbre out of a timbre data storage part 15 and when plural timbres are specified, the timbre data supply part 12 reads dual timbre data out and supplies the data to a sounding control part 13. The sounding control part 13 controls a sounding part 14 in response to the note-ON event of one key so as to generate a musical sound of the timbres supplied from the timbre data supply part 12. The sounding part 14 reads waveform data on the musical sound of the specified timbres out of a waveform data storage part 16 and generates the specified musical sound, and also controls the sound volume balance between channels so as to obtain specified sound image localization. |
