Fodder such as silage, beet, oil seeds and mixed fodder employs a press having a matrix with K aperture through which the fodder is extruded. the most suitable temperature for extrusion of the fodder is ascertained by experiment, and the fodder is kept at this temperature during the extrusion by controlling the temperature of the matrix.
