1,229,324. Endless tracks. H. GREMERET. 24 April, 1968 [11 April, 1968], No. 19489/68. Heading B7H. [Also in Division B8] An endless belt for use as a conveyer or as a tracklayer for a moving vehicle comprises a band 1 with a V-belt 2 fixed or formed integral therewith along the longitudinal axes thereof. The belt 2 engages in grooves 3a of drive pulleys 3 such that there is a clearance between the peripheral surface of each pulley, on either side of the groove, and the inner surface 7a of the belt 1. This clearance, in conjunction with the axial width of the pulleys being substantially less than the width of the belt, allows transverse inclination of the belt relative to the pulleys. The band 1 may be provided with spaced transverse L-shaped bars 5 or transverse moulded ridges (14c), Fig. 5 (not shown), or a roughened moulded surface (15a), Fig. 6 (not shown) and may be internally reinforced. |
