In an endless track vehicle comprising a chassis, including a track frame 1 for each endless track 4 and at least one cross-member 2 extending between and connecting the track frames, motor means 5 and a drive wheel 8 for each endless track which is connected to the motor means 5 by transmission means 6, the cross-member 2 or part thereof forms a housing for the motor means which is supported by the cross-member and located within the housing. As shown, the motor means comprises two hydraulic motors 16, each being mounted in a housing 9 and connected by a shaft 6 and bevel and spur gear two-stage reduction gearing in a housing 7, which is attached to a second cross-member 3, to the respective drive wheel 8. In modifications one or more electric motors are provided and the mechanical gearbox is replaced by hydraulic or electrical speed-reducing means. |
