In a centrifugal casting machine, for use in density, the melt crucible is mounted in the filler in the casting box which is mounted on a support centrally or eccentrically w.r.t. the rotational axis. A collector channel, running around the crucible, has >=1 outlet which connect with ingates of the moulds which are arranged eccentrically or concentrically to the crucible. Pref. the crucible is formed by a recess in the filler in the casting box. The crucible (or recess) and the moulds are maintained at the same temp. so that special preheating of the mould is not required and an optimal cast structure is obtd. Metal losses are reduced because of the short distance between the crucible and the moulds. |
