[Also in Divisions B2 and C4] In aqueous paper coating compositions containing an adhesive and dispersed pigment, the pigment comprises a natural chalk whiting processed to contain at least 60% by weight particles <2 Á equivalent spherical diameter, not more than 5% > 10 Á, and not more than 0À05% + 300 B.S.S. The whiting may be admixed with clay. In Examples 1-6 the adhesive may be a styrene/butadiene latex + starch or casein. |
