The connector which can be used for control hoses or operating hoses such as those used on portable machinery, consists of two parts with a union to tighten them together. Inside each part there are a number of smaller connecting pipes. The mouths of these pipes have sealing rings that operate as the parts of the connector are pressed together. There is an amount of radial play and the seals locate in notches or grooves. Both parts of the connector have a central spindle that enables them to be centralised. There is at least one tension rod in each part that fits in its respective recess in the other part of the connector.
