<p>Method for making tyre treads consists of moulding rubber granules which have been frozen to glass temp., and uses rubbers with small plasticiser content so as to yield treads with high abrasion resistance, this being impossible by injection moulding techniques. The rubber is frozen, granulated and charged into a vulcanizing press operating at 20 kp/cm2 for 1 - 5 mins.</p> |
