<p>Device for injecting a liq. or gaseous fuel into a shaft furnace, e.g. a cupola or esp. a blast furnace, provided with fuel injection in a stream of hot air given a helicoidal motion, with the improvement whereby there is provided means of imparting a gyratory motion to the air in at least one lateral air feed pipe to the nozzle. Pref. the gyratory motion is obtd. by means of a deformation of the cross section of the lateral air feed pipe such that the surface defined by the opening of the pipe into the nozzle has its centre of gravity situated eccentrically w.r.t. the projection of the nozzle axis in the plane of this opening.</p> |
