In the device proposed, actuator units which are moved with the points by separate rods when the points are changed are joined to each tongue of the points so that they actuate end-position sensors. The actuator units are linked to each other mechanically in such a way that, if a rod breaks, the actuator unit associated with the intact rod brings the other actuator unit out of its end position the next time the points are changed. In particular for use in cases in which the lock-release travel is the same as or greater than the tongue travel, one of the actuator units (P1) has an energy-storage device (F) which is charged up, via a lug (M) on the other tongue, by the tongue (Z2) that continues moving last and, at the beginning of a points-changing operation following test-rod breakage, suddenly discharges to disconnect the actuator unit with the broken rod. |
