发明名称 PHOSPHORIC ACID TYPE FUEL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE: To prevent phosphoric acid from its movement and enable stable operation of a phosphoric acid type fuel cell to last for a long time by making a cooling plate in from of an asymmetric cooling plate on which plural grooves crossing each other longitudinally and laterally are formed on one main surface on the fuel electrode side. CONSTITUTION: An asymmetric cooling plate 18 is fabricated in a normal cooling plate 16 and plural cooling pipes 19 are embedded near a lower surface and guided to penetrate there and also roughness is formed on an upper surface by cutting many grooves crossing each other longitudinally and laterally on the upper surface and the upper surface becomes asymmetric against a flat lower surface. Since the heating sectional area of the plate 18 where grooves are formed is narrow, PAFC(Phosphoric Acid-type Fuel Cell) stack is assembled so as to increase the heat resistance between the plate 18 and a cell thereon. Therefore, since the temperature on the cathode side is made higher than that on the anode side in all stacked cells, phosphoric acid drive power inside of the cell is offset so as to restrict movement of phosphoric acid during operation, thus continuous operation of PAFC is made possible.
