PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition extremely stable, easily preservable, easily soluble in water, good in absorption to the living body, and also pleasant to tongue and good in taste by reacting citric acid, an organic acid and a calcium composition in an aqueous medium within a prescribed temperature region, maturing and drying the mixture. CONSTITUTION: This noncrystalline citric acid, an organic acid and calcium composition is produced by reacting (A) one or more organic acid at least one of which is a component (i), and selected from a group consisting of (i) citric acid, (ii) malic acid, (iii) succinic acid, (iv) lactic acid, (v) gluconic acid, etc., with (B) one or more materials selected from a group consisting of calcium carbonate, calcium hydroxide, a burnt shell calcium or their hydrates, within a temperature range of <=30 deg.C, preferably (-)8-30 deg.C, maturing and then spray drying the reaction product. Furthermore, it is preferable that the component (A) consists of the component (i), the components (i) and (ii), the components (i) and (iii), the components (i) and (iv) or the components (i) and (v), the maturing temperature be (-)8-30 deg.C, and the pH of the reaction solution during the maturing period be 3.5-5.5. |
