PURPOSE:To distribute beams of light for illumination in a given area without waste, using a vehicular lamp device which adopts a method whereby light beams emitted from an optical-fiber cable are projected forward via lens bodies. CONSTITUTION:A light guide 2 made of a translucent material with a predetermined refractive index is provided from the emission end of an optical-fiber cable 1 to the incidence end 30 of each lens body 3, 4. The light guide is shaped to have both a plane of incidence, which is shaped to encompass substantially the overall surface of the emission end of the optical-fiber cable 1, and an emitting surface shaped to be suitable for determining the distribution of light beams for illumination. Each legs body is shaped to have an incidence end, which is shaped to fully encompass the emitting surface of the light guide 2, and to project light beams from the emitting surface forward in such a way that they are distributed as desired according to the form of the emitting surface. |
