PURPOSE:To prevent an image from being formed like a straight line even when many broken lines are superposed. CONSTITUTION:At the time of generating an image of a lateral broken line, a pattern position XX allocated to a left end position on the tape printing surface of a frame is calculated (S82), an image is formed only for bits corresponding to 0<=XX<=NL-1 (NL is the number of bits on the image of a broken line) and an image of bits corresponding to NL<=XX<=2NL-1 is not formed (S84 to S89). Said processing is repeated up to a right end position. Since whether a point on the printing surface of the tape is a colored part or a non- colored part is determined in accordance with its coordinates at the time of generating a lateral broke line, an image like a straight line is not formed even when many broken lines are superposed. |
