The device for the metered dispensing of tablets has a housing and a tablet reservoir. The latter is adjustably mounted in the housing and one reservoir dispensing orifice can be placed in front of a housing dispensing orifice. The housing is designed as a slidable sleeve having a sleeve bottom, in which slidable sleeve the tablet reservoir can be moved to and fro and pressed against a restoring spring. The housing dispensing orifice is located in the region of the sleeve bottom next to a metering blade projecting from the sleeve bottom. When the tablet reservoir is pressed in, the metering blade can be inserted in a slot in the tablet reservoir and partitions off a metering chamber at the bottom of the tablet reservoir. <IMAGE>
