<p>The panel (1) is manufactured from resin bound, e.g. vermiculite or quartz sand with an average grain dia. of 250 microns and has a reinforcing (2) of wood. The steel pin (3) is driven into the wooden rib and has a head (4) and collar (5). The rib is provided with equidistant spaced pins. Head and collar may optionally be square or hexagonal. When the head is inserted into the panel before curing takes place, a cavity is formed in the panel. This results in a complete filling of the space around the collar. After positioning and fixing of the ribs to the panel, the panel is placed in a curing oven. Optionally the pin may have a barbed (6) configuration. An insulating material layer may be applied between the reinforcing ribs. The panel construction has a smooth surface, thus eliminating finishing operations.</p> |
