PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the mechanical efficiency of a V-type pulley and at preventing heat generation, by setting the frictional force and coefficient of either one of both belt friction surfaces of the V-type pulley to be less than those of the other so that errors in peripheral speed may be automatically corrected. CONSTITUTION:A driven side V-type pulley A is formed in a split type having a first conical plate 1 and a second conical plate 2 with the first conical plate 1 being made of, for example, synthetic resin having frictional force and coefficient less than those of the second conical plate 2, and is abutted against and fixed onto a driven side rotary shaft 3 by means of a common key 4. With this arrangement, even if an error in peripheral speed is brought about between the belt friction surfaces 11, 12 of a drive side V-type pulley beta and the belt friction surfaces 5, 6 of the driven side V-type pulley A, the friction surface 5 absorbs the peripheral speed error to automatically correct the peripheral speed since the friction surface 5 has small frictional force and coefficient. Thereby, slips among the belt friction surfaces 6, 11, 12 are prevented to completely eliminate the frictional loss of the V-pulleys. Accordingly, heat generation may be prevented, thereby the mechanical efficiency of the pulleys may be enhanced. |
