PURPOSE:To perform sufficient recording even by a magnetic recording medium with high coercive force and to detect efficiently magnetic flux by the recording magnetism of the magnetic recording even during reproduction by orienting the columnar crystal of a ferromagnetic material with high saturated magnetic flux density almost perpendicular to a slide surface for the magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A gap spacer material, e.g. SiO2 glass film is formed at a specific part of a block 11 in a rectangular prism shape to a specific gap width, and blocks 11 and 11' in rectangular prism shapes are put together so that recessed parts 16 and 16' are aligned to each other accurately; and a glass bar with a relatively low softening point is arranged in the groove 15 formed of notch parts 14 and 14' and heated in an atmosphere of inert gas while the blocks 11 and 11' are pressed against each other, thus constituting a composite block 17. The composite block is cut in an imaginary surface shown by an alternate long and short dash line to form a magnetic head 18. Columnar crystal directions of core parts 19 and 19' formed of the ferromagnetic film with high saturated magnetic flux density are perpendicular to the slide surface for magnetic recording media as shown by arrows. |
