PURPOSE:To improve reaction force effect, by arranging a plurality of reaction force pistons controlling torsion of a torsion bar by action of operating oil through an input shaft on the circumference of the input shaft in a radial state in relation to the radial direction and at identical intervals in relation to the circumferential direction, around the input shaft. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of longitudinal grooves 21a are formed on the external circumferential surface of the lower part of an input shaft 21 and a cylinder is provided against the groove 21a. A reaction force piston 5 is fitted in each of the cylinders, and a protrusion provided on the tip of the reaction piston 5 is connected with the foregoing longitudinal groove 21a. Each of the reaction pistons 5 is arranged on the circumference of the input shaft in a radial state in relation to the radial direction and at identical intervals in relation to the circumferential direction, around the input shaft 21. The reaction force piston 5 controls the steering reaction force as oil pressure to be controlled according to a car speed is led to a chamber 6 of the backside of each of the reaction force pistons 5. In addition to the above, the twisting torque depending on the reaction force piston 5 is set up freely as an angle of the foregoing longitudinal groove 21a is made to vary appropriately.
